PRODUCT NOTIFICATION/UFI/PCN
Report all required information on hazardous substances or mixtures so they're available in case of accidents.
According to Article 45 of the REACH Regulation and Annex VIII of the CLP Regulation, hazardous mixtures must be reported to the competent authorities via the ECHA's Poison Centre Notification (PCN) portal. In this way, it can be ensured that important information about the composition is available in case of accidents with hazardous substances or mixtures.
Often, it’s not quite so simple to determine if a substance or mixture needs to be reported: Only mixtures that are classified as hazardous to human health or in one of the hazard classes for physical hazards fall into this category (with the exception of the classes explosive mixtures and gases under pressure). Exempt from the notification requirement are mixtures only classified as environmentally hazardous as well as mixtures for scientific or product- and process-oriented research and development.
We advise you on your rights and obligations. Our experienced toxicologists are happy to report your products in PCN format and generate and manage the corresponding UFI codes for you.
